Putrid's Crypt

9/5/2005 - sometimes you just have to go with the flow.....

Problem is , if I keep flowing in different directions no one will know where I'm going....

It seems every time I turn around I've got new ideas on this year's haunt. I cut out 5 circus themed tombstones. Looked like a good idea so I did it. LOL Was going to go with a sick dead circus theme last year. Now I'm going with different grave yards. A swampy one, a normal one, one with all my groundbreakers and dead things. A circus grave yard with dead clowns coming out of the ground. And a wild west one with wood grave markers and my Bucky decked out like a cowboy playing the guitar. I might even cover one with spider webs if I need. Also going to get 200 to 300 corn stocks. One of Deb's uncles has a farm and planted corn this year. Asked him yesterday if I could have 200 to 300 stalks if I left him the corn. He told me which field to go to get them form. In case some of ya'll don't know. A lot of farmers farm fields spread out over a wide area instead of just one large one. A lot of farming is done on consignment property. You end up with a few thousand acres instead of just what you have around the house. Going to use the stalks around the sidewalk and have that area decked out as the pumpkin patch. Thinking about redoing the pumpkin king in a pair of coveralls and a flannel shirt. Use what's on it now for more ghosts. Going to make wood frames about 4 feet long and 8 inches wide to hold the corn stalks up with. This way I'll be able to position them easier. The stalks will also help hide the rest of the haunt. This year the TOT's wont get a preview of everything when they turn the corner to enter the yard.

Posted an invite on Iscare, Caverns of Blood and Method of Madness forums for the Sep. 17th gathering here. Got some views but no responses. I think I'm doing this way to close to Halloween. September is crunch month for props and the like. October is panic month around here. LOL

I've been on the forum for a few years now. I'm a diehard, here almost all of 365 days a year. LOL I look forward to this time. Forum gets real busy. Get lots of good ideas and even get to share some. Some old names come by and mix right in with all the new ones. The best part is every year there's more folks that stick around.
