8/25/2005 - Still putting together our first Missouri Halloween Forum get together.

Let's see how many people we can cram into a house with only one bathroom.....

Things are going smoothly. I got emailed and a PM from two members that will attend. It's still early so I'm hoping to hear from more folks. Now I got to think of what to do when they get here. LOL Not good at planning anything. Usually it's just 'ya, this date, come over, whatever." My wife totally spazes over party planning. We've had big holiday get togethers here. Deb's usually a space cadet the day before. She starts making lists of things weeks before the event. The best part of all that is she changes those lists al least 3 times a day. LOL For me it's more setting up the date and time. Doing up the house accordingly. Decide if it's dinner, pot luck or snacks. Invite the folks. Lets see what happens. Deb has an 80 part plan to see what part of the room needs to be done first. I just let her do her thing. She's happy, I'm happy, when the people get here there happy. It's all good.

What I'm planning to do is set some props up. Maybe have an improve and short how-to from anyone who wants to. Kind of a sharing of ideas thing. Be it props, costumes or party ideas. Share some Halloween stories and photos. Be nice to talk about Halloween with a few folks that wont look at me like I'm some kinda lunatic. LOL The idea of a pot luck was mentioned. Food allergies suck. I hate telling folks I can't eat this or that but I also don't want to offend anyone and not be able to eat what they bring. Imagine not being able to eat pork or chocolate. Caught between a rock and a hard place on that one. Been giving a thought to just having sandwitches and snacks. Wife makes a mean Lavosh! I might die everything blue. That's a trick Vincent Price liked to do. Feed everyone blue food and see who throws up first. LOL We could walk through the local cemetery with cameras and tape recorders and see how long we get away with it before we get halled off by the police. Have to see what everyone would like to do and go from there. All in all it should be a great time.
