8/2/2005 - Yet another prop idea...bites the dust but comes out swingng....

Just when you think you have things figured out along comes reality.....

I will have my toxic zombies, but...not out of Great stuff foam. For a full half torso it would take 5 cans of this to cover it. At $4.33 a can that's $21.65 without tax for each. I need 5 of them. That comes to $108.25 without tax. Not going to happen. SOoooo I'm going to get midieval with the snot rag mache. I don't want a smooth surface, need it bumpy and deformed. I'll put down a layer of wadded news paper balls and tubs to add the bumps and deformities under the snot rag mache. I still plan on using Great stuff on the tombstones. But I'll have to be creative on it's application. With 5 toxic zombies I'll probably make 13 stones. That would be 3 cans of foam ( one for 4 stones plus what's left over for number 13) More in our price range. LOL

 

I really like this time of year on the forum. A lot of folks are showing pictures of props in the making and finished. Some really cool stuff being done.
