7/21/2005 - Friends list.......

You ever have to say something and no matter how many ways you think of saying it you still sound like a jerk?.....

I don't wan to make a friends list. I thought about it for the last two days. And I know I'm on folk's lists so I know I'm going to make folks mad. I can't think of any other way of saying it. I don't like 'friends' lists. Now don't get me wrong, if you list me that's fine. I personally don't want to make one. It's not 'how many', 'who' or 'lack of' and I aint imbarrassed to call anyone a friend. It's just me.

OK, now that I've sounded like a complete jerk......

Going to move most of out prop making into the basment. I've built two tables for botanical experiments and they're now empty. I think I'll get more done working in the air conditioning. And it'll be a whole lot easier to wear my Halloween underwear when I don't have the Postman laughing at me through the garage door window. LOL

Boy was I wrong about the angles needed to make a tow pincher coffin. So much for the 'scientific method'.LOL  What I did come up with is the three top pieces.

One 9 inch piece for the top. The nine inches is the outside dimensions. The angle cuts are opposite of each other making the inside dimension shorter. The angles I ended up with is 35 degrees.

Two 13 inch pieces. The 13 is the outside dimension. The angles are opposite of each other and make the inside dimension shorter. These pieces have two different angles. The angle between it and the top piece is 35 degrees. The angle that would be to the body of the coffin is 10 degrees. This angle will allow you to decide what angle the longest board needs to be as it tapers down to the bottom board.

What you end up with. The overall inside dimensions if your using 5/8 thick lumber is a little under 8 inches for the top of the head and at the widest point a bit under 16 inches for the shoulders. I'll have to continue this on the weekend.

I made all my cuts on a table saw.
