Well, I got absolutely nothing done for Halloween this weekend.  Stayed up until 2 a.m. Friday night reading my fresh Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.  Finished it around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.  As usual, I wanted to finish it in no time flat, and then (sadly) it's over.  Planning to re-read it so I can digest it a little more.  It was a great book; the ending made me cry (yes, really).

The list of items to complete for Halloween remains where it is.  I have a Grim Reaper oscillating fan prop to work on.  I made a frame for it two weeks ago and then was told by my husband I used some nasty treated 2 x 4's that I shouldn't have touched.  So those are now in the garbage and I have to remake it.  My carpentry skills are lacking so I'm bummed about that, but oh well. 

I'm re-doing my FCG head this year and have plans to make one of Madmax's shiatsu props.  I might try and make it a dementor (from Harry Potter 3) looking ghost.  That way it would be very light and those were very scary to me (yes-I am a wuss).  The LED's should be here any day and like Zombie-F I have a lantern I'm working on as well as Daveinthegrave and Ugly Joe's spotlights.  The soldering gun better work right, oh and I'd better learn how to use it too.

Everyone stay cool, it's hitting 105 degrees here today and I may sweat to death, we'll see.  Cheers!

OK, the LEDs are on order from modsthatglow.com (as suggested - easy transaction - LOVE Paypal).  That's the easy part.  Now if I can just learn how to solder and not burn my fingers up or destroy all the LEDs, it'll be all good.  We shall see....

I am struggling every day with these props.  The thing about the forum is, it's a constant challenge to our plans and what we perceive that we're capable of.  Of course, it's always more than we thought.  Thanks to UglyJoe and DaveintheGrave, I'm ordering my LED stuff in a couple of days and I'm crossing my fingers.  The list of things to do is huge, but I'm sure everyone's is as well.  Time has flown so quickly.  It's only 111 days til Halloween, but I set up on October 1st so I guess I'm down to 81 days.  Alot to do, so I'll be off.  Sorry if my blog's boring.  If so, skip over to Empress Nightshade's.  There's never a dull moment with that one. ;-)
