8/22/2005 - Success Again!

My Hanging Man Prop is complete!!!

It took longer than I though, but I was able to get my Hanging Man prop put together and working this past weekend.  Mark another moving prop done!

I started putting the new motor in Saturday morning (one that I had tested the week before and it worked just fine), I attached the 1x2 braces to it and got it installed in the bucket I am housing it it.  I then attached 2 more boards running perpendicular to further brace the motor to the bucket.  I then attached the wiring and plugged it in...nada.   I switched around the wiring take make sure that I didn't have anything crossed and plugged it back in...nada.  I then tested my wiring on another motor I had and it worked perfectly, so needless to say, the motor that was working last week, wasn't working this week.....

Luckily I had a third ceiling fan motor that I had salvaged and was able to use it.  The bonus was that the housing for the motor fit perfectly into the bucket without the need for any extra brackets.  I should have went with that one in the first place....ahh well, you live and learn...

So this means that I now have 2 Major Props finished and only a couple more to go, I must say things are looking good!
