8/4/2005 - Halloween Merchandise

Well not much to update on props right now, been moving stuff around as we are having new carpet put in 3 of our rooms, so that has taken up some of my time, plus I started playing EQ2 again....and damn it if it hasn't drawn me back in again.  I'm gonna have to fight pretty hard to stay away and work on my props.

Here is an update on Halloween Merchandise in the Plano, Tx area:

1) Garden Ridge - has a couple aisles of stuff out, but I have seen quite a few more boxes stacked in the back with pumpkins on them.  So it looks like they still have more merchandise to put out.  I sure hope it's better than last years selection.

2) Michaels - They have their Lemax "Spooky Town" buildings out and are now clearing out space for their decorations.  I spoke with someone there earlier this week and they said it should all be out by the end of this week or first of next week.

3) Party City - They have there Halloween aisles blocked off and a ton of boxes set out, they are slowly clearing the summer stuff out to make room for Halloween.

4) Joanne's Fabrics - They have a couple of aisles of stuff out, mostly their typical cutesy merchandise.  When I was there earlier this week, they looked to be putting out the last of their stuff.

5) Walmart/Target - Still nothing at these places and I don't expect anything until after school starts back up, which is in a couple of Weeks.  My best bet is 1st of Sept.

6) CVS Pharmacy/Walgreens/Eckerds - If you haven't ever checked any of these places out, you should, they usually have a couple of aisles of stuff and you can find 1 or 2 treasures.  They usually have stuff out by the end of August.
