I have finally chosen my Halloween costume! Back in late August I finally decided on one and ordered it. Buycomstumes is pretty good about delivery I have already gotten it in the mail. Ya Ready??.........
Here was my choice!
BETTIE PAGE - DON'T TREAD ON ME
I love it and it looks hot on me! The only thing though the horns that came with it did not look like the ones in the pic they are kind of cheap-looking. So I am just gonna pick me up some awesome ones at the Spirit store when I take my anual visit there soon. Also need some red gloves and thigh high red fishnets. Its gonna look awesome!.
I had to get the wig that went with it too because my hair is kind of short and looks nowhere near Bettie Page's hair.
Welp got my costume. I am looking very very forward to this Halloween its gonna be a blast!

Its mid-August!! That means its time for me to start thinking about what I am going to be for Halloween this year.
I have put together a few choices with a few pics and explanations of what I am going to do to see if it will work or not. I had originally choose to be some type of fairy, but I am sure each one of these costumes can be modified to be a fairy of some sort.
Tea Party Hostess
Alice in Wonderland is one of my fav things. I thought this was so awesomely cute as it is hard to actually find a Mad Hatter costume for a girl, let alone a cute one! But with that insanely short skirt I am gonna have to get some good knickers to wear under it!
FairyLicious Fallen Angel

I loved the Black and White of this costume. But unfortunely, I do not love the wings that come with this one, I would have to change that out with some goth ones that looked pretty decent. Those look like they could get torn up in a new york minute!
RIPunzel

I really really liked this one, you can have so many possibilities with it instead of its original purpose, which I do like too, but I could make this an awesome fairy costume with some gothy wings, or even a really cool witch costume!
Bettie Page - Don't Tread On Me

By far this is my fav out of all the ones I picked, just because I LOVE Bettie Page, I would leave this one intact and change the boots to knee-high red boots, try to get as close as I can to the original image of Ms. Page as she looked in that awesome photo!
That about narrows it down to what I had in mind. Of the best costumes I think I could pick out off the net. I might go by my local Spirit Halloween store to see if they have any of these in stock that I can actually wear but I highly doubt it. They didn't last year and I had a HARD time picking out what I wanted to be. =/ My costume kind of ended up being less than what I expected but I tried to make the most out of it.
Whatever I decide to pick, will be lots and lots of accessories to come with it. ;) Those will be posted later!
Just so you all know feedback/Opinions are welcomed!!

I had my first Halloween dream of the season last night. It was borderlining on a nightmare though because I was at a costume shop with my mom and some other friends (some of those Unknown dream friends that I can't recognize for some reason), and the place was PACKED and I was trying to put together a really cool costume and I couldn't find what I needed (kind of like my RL situation..lol). But all I really can make out of the dream is that I was trying to find a cute fairy costume and nothing seemed to work out right and my mom kept yelling at me and telling me we had to go. Hopefully that won't happen to me when I do decide to go Costume shopping this year!!
I finally saw some Halloween stuff out around here!! It was at The Cracker Barrel and not too far from where I live, they had a Halloween display starting out with all kinds of really awesome stuff!! Can't wait to see other stores sprining into the spirit around here! But I will definately keep everyone updated on the stores and also where on Hwy 280 Spirit Halloween will be located this time. I think last year it was in an old Grocery Store building at the shopping center where Replays was.
Happy Haunting! Halloween is a coming!

Wow, I apologise for the lack of entries from last year. I think I forgot I had this blog. But I am back now! And I just gave my Halloween Blog a new facelift. Ya Like? Thought I would make it a bit more stylized for this year's Halloween. I am gonna work hard to try to make it a blast.
Not sure what all I have planned at the moment. Just been throwing things around in my head on what I want to do. I am still very uncertain as to what I want to be this year also. But my two main choices for right now are:
Star Trek Science Officer Sress (from the old series)
Fairy of some sort.
If I can find a new job that pays better, I can probably save up to get both.
But, its just July, I have plenty of time to make my mind up in the coming months.

Weeee!!! Its finally October!! Smell that autumn in the air!! I am all excited about Halloween this year!! Well... I am every year. But I actually have time to sit back and enjoy this Halloween.
The other day I decorated the inside of the house (wow I have a lot of decorations!). And personally I think it looks really good. But you know with a true Halloween fanatic you can never have enough Halloween decorations to put in or outside of your house. I am planning on decorating the front yard today. I am minus my awesome scarecrow this year becuase it was on loan from my mom and she is using it this time. LOL. But if I can I am gonna swing by Big Lots later on this week and see if I can't find a really nice bigger Halloween decoration to put out there that matches my decoration theme (pumpkins, black cats, and ghosts.)
Also this year I plan on getting a nice sized pumpkin to actually carve for the big night. Last year I had a real pumpkin and I just kind of sat it out by the scarecrow and didn't carve it or anything. I also am having a hard time finding my Pumpkin carving kit, I think we lost it in the move, so they are cheap I will just get another one next time I go to Wal-Mart.
Yay my birthday is coming up soon, I will be 25 and still rockin my Halloween style. We have been a bit low on money this year so the hubby offered to get me a Halloween costume as a Bday present. So he told me to go to the Spirit store and look around and see what all I liked. I haven't really quite decided what I am gonna be this year yet or not. I will have to see what costume looks best on me. I was thinking something witchy or something Egyptian. But it all depends on whether or not my boobs fit into one of those costumes meant for ladies who are not that well endowed. LOL.
But anyway, I am gonna start decorating the outside of the house and hopefully make it look as awesome as it did last year! Looks like Halloween this year is gonna be a total blast!

Oooh I got me a BuyCostumes Magazine today with coupons for the site in it!!! That makes me very happy. Not sure if I am gonna use them though I will have to see what I really want to be for Halloween this time. I am just having the hardest time deciding what I want to be. I have several ideas but so far can't put my finger one a good one yet.
Man last year I think I got 7 craft magazines before Halloween including the Martha Steward Halloween Edition. Which had some awesome stuff in it. I have already gotten my first Halloween Magazine of the year when I was in the checkout line at the grocery store. Its called Halloween: Food, Fun, And Crafts, and it has got some really good stuff in it that I am planning on using for this Halloween. I can't wait it should be fun.

*inhales* Ahhhh, feels good to finally go in stores and see Halloween stuff out on the shelves! It is approaching and I can't wait! My mom and I just had a shopping day and I got me a cute little light up pumpkin stack from the Cracker Barrel of all places. They have some good stuff! Went to Michaels and saw lots of stuff I wanted, but I am going to be sparse until a bit later on becuase the stores have yet to put out the REALLY good stuff.
My birthday is coming up soon, and my mom was originally taking me shopping today to look for a new sofa becuase that is what she is getting me. Don't laugh, I NEED it. Our poor old Sofa just looks totally tragic. IMO I thought it had about another year left anway. And it doesn't really match at all its black leather and the living room doesn't have anything black in it at all. LOL so its time for the Apartment furniture to leave!

Merry Meet!
It's finally the week of 100 days until Halloween coundown for me. I have been excited about it for some time now. I can always feel it coming on and when it hits it hits like a freight train, here it comes, here comes Halloween!
Since last year was so chaotic for me I have decided to just have a very "Low Key" Halloween this year and just sit back and have fun and enjoy the Holiday as it was meant to be. Let me sum up my experience last Halloween for you guys since I didn't have the energy to post it; That morning I got up, showered, put my costume on, went and had lunch with my husband at his work place (where also everyone else was dressed for Halloween), came home, did some things around the house, went back to pick up my husband after work, and waited on the ToTs to arrive... Now here is the catch.. The whole night the TOTAL ToTs we had were around 15. It was a bust. But those 15 ToTs did get some great surprises I gave out Halloween Pencils, glowsticks, and lots of treats. By the time 9:00pm rolled around I had passed out fast asleep on the couch with the cauldron of candy in my lap witht he TV on a horror movie. I felt the night was wasted because I was so exhausted from running my kitty tail off the whole month preparing for everything. All in all, I think I worked TOO hard on Halloween last year!
So this year I am taking it very easy and just laying back and having fun. Soon I am gonna start working on fun stuff to do during the month of October that will be relaxing and still fun for my whole family. Also this year the hubby and I have decided to attend my cousins annual Halloween party at her house like we did year before last. The only reason why I wanted to stay home last year was to see if we had any ToTs. Since we did not have many at all I think we will skip it again this year.
Looking forward to the coming months. This Halloween is gonna be a blast!

Welp The Mad Tea Party is tomorrow night
and we are all so excited here! Today I am going to spend the day
cleaning the house and getting everything ready for tomorrow.
Then most of the day tomorrow we are going to spend on food and
decorating the house. Everything is just about already set up
though so it shouldn't be much of a problem. It has made it so
much easier on me because I have been planning this party since
January. So far everyone I have talked to that is coming is
really excited about it and thinks I should make it an annual
deal. I just might. Just really depends on mine and the
hubby's money situation really. This year hasn't been too good
but I have still been able to buy new decorations and throw a party at
the same time. So I really don't think it will be a problem for
next year either!
I have my camera all set up and ready to go for the party and we should
take some awesome pics! My friend and I went to get the little
corked bottles for the drinks yesterday and she thought it was the
coolest idea ever! lol. Also I was running a little short
on ideas for other party favors and I had planned on getting glow
necklaces for everyone, but when I went to Wally world to get them they
only had TWO PINK ONES left. So I had to scratch that idea, and i
Just ended up getting glow sticks you can hang around your neck.
I am hopeing they will still be fun though.
But that is just about everything going on so far and I probably won't
be able to post again until Sunday with the pics from the party because
tomorrow I am going to be super busy!!
Oh and also to all of those throwing parties this weekend on Halloween Forum GOOD LUCK to you guys and HAVE TONS OF FUN!!!

I didn't have time to post this yesterday
but I finally got a chance to BOO my neighbor! Well it really
wasn't a full-fledged BOO mainly I just got together two Halloween
Pails (One for my neighbor and one for her grandaughter), and went over
to give it to them. My neighbor's grandaughter was so
excited! She is only 2 and she loved the Tot pail with tons of
candy, stickers, and yes even a pair of Halloween socks was in
it. lol. Of course I gave my Neighbor something to decorate
her house with. A pumpkin basket with fall napkins and candles
and stuff in there. I thought she would like it and could use it
to decorate with. And they BOTH loved them! Made me feel so
good.
You know, I really love just giving to other people because it makes
you feel good that you have done something nice for others. I
really like it that I have the chance to do that now and then.
Also my neighbors grandaughter is just a little sweetie and she was so
cute carrying around that big pumpkin pail.
THREE DAYS until The Mad Tea Party!!!! I may go and get the
streamers and everything to decorate with later on today if I have the
time. I can't wait!!! Its going to be so awesome!!!

Already posted this on Halloween Forum, but
I thought it would be a great blog entry too. I was tryig to
think of how to post about my experience at Atrox all weekend.
Me, my friend, and my husband went to our Local Haunt this past Friday and had a total blast.
The Atrox Factory - Leeds Alabama
We got thier super early, before the gates even opened because last
year when we went we ended up waiting almost 4 hours just to go through
the haunt because there were so many people there. When they
opened we were kind of dissapointed to see they were charging a $2
cover charge to just even get in, and when we got in we had to buy a
higher ticket price of $13 per person. We almost didn't have
enough money because we didn't know they were going to charge a cover
charge.
We did find out however that night they were having the guy who played
The Creeper in Jeepers Creepers there for autographs and stuff, and on
Halloween they were having Kane Hodder in person (Jason Vorhees).
So that was really awesome and then we understood why they went up on
the tickets and the cover charge, so that was pretty okay with us.
We didn't have to wait long at all to get in the haunted house, and got
in with the first group! I would say since we got there we had
probably waited about 15 minutes total. MUCH better than the 4
hour wait we had last year!
As always the Haunt itsself was amazing. A lot of scenes from
House on Haunted Hill - the Mad doctor operating on the insane and
stuff like that. I loved thier optical illusions they had!
They had an older lady cut in half sitting on top of a table! All
while the theme music to Alice was playing in the background, and of
course I was freaking out about that. :D This time though
their clown room was kind of dissapointing. Last time we went
they had at least 12 clowns in there and one was sitting next to a huge
gun shooting at people as they went by. This time there was only
two, but I couldn't really do much counting because I am terrified of
clowns and didn't really want to look at them. ;)
But I would have to say that its STILL awesome and still going
strong. They actually made it a little better with the celebrity
appearences. I thought that was too cool. But if anyone
lives near Leeds Alabama I would highly suggest checking it out its
well worth it for all the awesome stuff you get to see and do in
there. Plus if you get there before they open there is almost NO
waiting at all.

All day today I have been working on the
layout for the decorations for The Mad Tea Party. Threw around
some new ideas and really liked them. I am sticking to my
original idea about lots and lots of Black streamers, they are cheap,
and you can do a lot with them. Also I felt today I really needed
to give the party a more "Spooky" and "Party" atmosphere other than
just lighting candles and leaving the lights on. After all it is
a Halloween party right?
I figured it would be a great idea to string the streamers
everywhere and make it look very ominous, even streaming them on the
tables and bookcases. Of course during all this time my poor
puppies will have to be put up, because I am afraid of thier appetites
for paper. Also decided to go "Lights out" in the living room and
dining room, which are connected. Also our foryer is basically
its own little room, and I am seriously thinking about hanging
streamers down like a curtain to the guests will feel like they are in
a fun house-type deal. The guests will then walk through the
black streamer curtain and into the living room where most of the party
will take place. The lights will be out, and I have decided to
use my old strobe light set on very very low so it doesn't annoy anyone
but still creates a party atmosphere. Also to cut down on the
annoyance of the strobe light I will have my regular decorations indoor
lights on and lots of candles lit for the mood.
As for music, I have just decided to can the idea of using DirecTV's
Sounds of the Seasons channel because apparently its two weeks before
Halloween and they do not have any Halloween music on there
STILL. So I have totally given up on that. I do however
have a natural love for Rob Zombie, and I do happen to own a DVD of his
most popular music videos. So I thought it would be a cool idea
for music to have it playing on our big screen TV for music and
something fun and spooky to look at.
Also the kitchen is in a totally different room in the house so I
figured I can partition that off with another streamer curtain, and
leave the lights on in there for people to get food and drink and sit
down and what-not.
It is very hard for me to explain the layout though without everyone
knowing what my house looks like. Hopefull though I will get to
take some pics right after I decorate and will be able to post
them. I would love feedback on this layout too so if anyone else
has any cool and cheap ideas please let me know!

Finally got the invites finished, addressed
and stamped and sent out for the party! With that over with I
have decided to just relax and rest without any tedious planning for a
couple of days to clear my head so I am not so overwhelmed. I
thought this may be a good time this week since Friday the hubby and I
and some friends are going Haunted housing, then Saturday we are
supposed to all go see DOOM. So this weekend is pretty busy but
at least I will be good and rested, and then starting next week I can
really grind at getting the decorations and food ready for The Mad Tea
Party.
My costume arrived too the other day! So I don't have to worry
about that anymore, just have to make that last trip to get the
accessories for it, which shouldn't be too terribly hard to do.
So far so good I have gotten a ton of things done and even have time to
spare for a very small restful vacation.
In my time off however, I have already started brainstorming for next
year. LOL. Been throwing several ideas around and jotting
them down in notepad, so far nothing rock solid yet, probably won't be
until January, thats when I really kick off my Halloween party
planning. I really want to make these Halloween Theme parties
annual events so everyone will have something to look forward to every
year, like they did when I was in High School. I suppose us
Halloweenies never really rest, kind of like the undead.
See you in a few days!

I swear I have had the worst luck today
with pumpkins.... It has been a neverending battle
up-hill.. Like the gods were telling me "No! You can't have a
pumpkin today!" Well first off. I was soo excited
because my mom was coming up today to help me decorate. We went
to breakfast, had fun doing that, went to Wal Mart, and was getting
stuff we needed to decorate with and we found some great pumpkins at
Wal mart, but they wanted to charge us BY THE POUND! $2.99 per
pound to be exact!!
I was so livid I just walked off and left the 3 pumpkins we were going
to buy just sittng there. The girl wanted to argue with us about
it so she could freaking have them! I told mom they
would be different at Food World, we were going there anyway to pick me
out a bday cake for my party next week. On the way there we had to take
a detour down this other road, and come back up because our town was
having thier dumb high schools homecoming parade! And we
were right there! I am not kidding there was the traffic light, the
street with the parade, and Food World!! And we could'nt cross
the dang road! And we had to go way out of our way down this
other street to get there. So we finally get in the Food World
parking lot and we can hardly get in the store becuase they have a
cookout cart there with millions of people standing around that were
all attending the parade.
But the pumpkin fiasco doesnt stop there... They had pumpkins for
very resonable prices $2.20 for pretty dang big pumpkins (NOT by the
lbs.) and I had found the most perfect one-- not a flaw, perfectly
round and squatty. Proceeded to the checkout counter, the cashier
was running her mouth and left the convayer belt on too long, the
pumpkin ran up under the side of her register and got a huge gash in
it!! By then I was so infuriated I started yelling at the cashier
and she was just looking at me like I was crazy, she put the pumpkin
over to the side and said "well I can't sell you that one since the
skin is broke it will start to rot" and she was slamming stuff around
and slamming around the other peoples groceries while she was checking
them out. She then told me that "we will get you another one" and
I got really fed up and was like "NO, I will get another one
myself."
So I go back to where all the pumpkins were and tell the produce
manager all about it. And he finds me the biggest pumpkin they
have and puts a sticker on it for the same price as the much smaller
ones! That made me feel so much better. I couldn't wait to
get out of that horrible store. My mom and I were in line and we
decided not to go back to the jabberjaw idiot cashier that does not pay
attention again, unfortunately, got in a line with someone who was
apparently on crack. Since the pumpkin was so large it was hard
for my mom or I to lift it and when we went through the line we left in
the in the buggy. Well the cashier just looked at us. My
mom said "can you scan it with the hand scanner because my daughter and
I have trouble lifting heavy things?" and the cashier replied "I don't
have one." My mom said "So we have to lift it and put it on the
register?" and she just looked at us and said "Yep." By this
point, I was about ready to kill somebody, and there was another Food
World employee in line behind us checking out groceries and she butts
in asking "You don't have a hand-held scanner??!!" and the cashier
looks at her "Nope." like she doesn't have a care in the world and is
staring off into space the whole time. Needless to say.. We
FINALLY got checked out, with a little help from that nice person in
line behind us. Ohh and it STILL doesn't stop there....
See my bday party is having a Halloween theme to it, mom and I bought
Halloween plates and everything and I wanted a Halloween cake.
Well before we go check out I get over to the bakery in Foodworld and
they tell me they don't make Halloween cakes the best they have is a
scarecrow cake for fall.
I just gave up right there. And you know what I am going to
do? I am going to freaking drive over to where I used to live, in
Birmingham to the Publix I used to go to every day where they always
had EVERYTHING next week before my party and get me a freaking
Halloween cake! And after that mom and I were so out of
it we just hung it up and came home and started to decorate. We
got the outiside done except for flowers, and I got half the inside
done. I am still not finished though because when the hubby got
home we went back to that sorry ass wal mart and got TONS of
mums! We got two huge baskets of them and four smaller pots of
them to put out front! I am gonna take pics of it tomorrow it
looks so awesome! But the front is finished now. So that
has been my day today. I tried so hard to make today really
exciting and fun, despite the setbacks. I kept on decorating on
and off until about 9:30pm tonight. Boy and I am tired.
Just gonna have to finish the rest of it tomorrow. But I am
really glad I got the front porch done, looks really good out there
with all the lights, scarecrow, and my single pumpkin I fought tooth
and nail for today. Mood: - Infuriated

Been working my little kitty butt off today
cleaning the house and getting ready to decorate! Turns out my
mom may be coming up either tomorrow or Friday to help me out. We
really want to try to get everything up in one day so she doesn't have
to come back again until my birthday party (that she has been planning
for me!).
I spent the entire day today cleaning, started at 11am, just now got
finished. I really wanted to deep clean our house, even though
its a brand new house it was STILL pretty dang dirty, especially from
construction. So I did a sort of spring cleaning for the
fall. Hopefully I won't have to do it again until its time for
the REAL spring cleaning.
Ugh, its getting to be my really busy time. I always hate that
but kind of like it because I hardly ever get bored. Sometimes being a
housewife is kind of boreing. So much is going on this October,
its kind of cool but it does kind of suck because I am going to be sooo
tired. Already just a few days before October and I am working my
butt off! lol. But I am so excited! I can't wait for
the month of October to hit because its going to be nothing but
fun. A little work, but lots of fun! My birthday is in
October too! My mom has been planning me a nice little bday
party, but that is for my friends I am actually celebrating my birthday
3 times next week. lol. I have to celebrate with just my
mom and dad, then I will have the party with my friends, and then my
husband wants to celebrate it at the end of the week!
I can already tell you though the whole beginning of October is going to be crazy. I can't wait!!!!

Been really working hard lately at planning
The Mad Tea Party. I have most of it already planned out I juts
have to DO it.
So far its turning out great. Told almost all my friends about it
and they are really excited. My friend Christy is even going to
try to be The Queen of Hearts! Of course, not the one from the
game, but a really awesome Queen of hearts! Wanted to go over a
checklist of the things I am working on or have already gotten done
just need to go purchase them:
Invitations: Currently unfinished. Got a great concept on them
though, earlier this year I had made two teasers I was going to send
out to everyone, but have now decided the teaser is quite possibly the
best design I have ever come up with and am probably going to use the
Alice teaser as the Invite:

All afternoon today I have been working on the inside for the invite which did turn out very nice:

Been struggling lately on the wording for the invites because I need
them to sound very elegant and creepy, yet totally insane. I am
really hopeing to be done with them by the end of the first week of
October, or my Bday, which is on the 9th. So then I can make the
long trip to my parents house to use thier photo printer to print them
all out on.
Decorations: Mostly finished.
I have a very general idea of what I really want to do, but decorating
for a party is best done WHEN I decorate. I am going to be using
a ton of black and red for the decor. Lots and lots of black
roses, red roses, and tons of red and black streamers. Also
planning on using a lot of skulls and gothic decorations, candles, and
floating candles in vases of blood. Been researching Gothic party
decorations massively for this. Have some great guidelines to go
by. Probably going to make this trip right before the party to
buy all my supplies. I am really staying away from anything too
Halloweenie for the party, on the count I do want it to look really
goth and dark, much like the Alice game.
Food: Finished!
I have decided to use a variety of gothic and dark drinks and snacks
for the party. Alcoholic and non alike. For the drinks I
plan to use various vampyre alcoholic drinks, and tea. To distinguist
the alcoholic from the non, I am going to get a set of small round
corked bottles from Michaels. They do very much look like old
fashioned lab flasks and I am going to either make labels or paint the
phrase "Drink Me" on them. For the non-alcoholic I will be
serving of course, Blood Tea, which is basically just regular tea with
red and blue food coloring in it. These will be placed in nice
tea cups to those who do not wish to drink alcohol that night.
Food will be lots of fun, I will be serving cupcakes, muffins, and
sweets. The cupcakes will be the main focus though because they
are also going to say "Eat Me" written in red and black icing on the
tops of them. Although I am not totally getting away from
Halloween with this one, there will also be tons of candy, soda, and
chips for everyone!
I have decided during the whole month of October I am going to work on
buying all the things I need for The Mad Tea Party. I am really
not one to wait until the last minute with these things. The only
things I can really do at the last minute are the decorations and the
food, which I have planned out to at "T". I kind of figured the
invites would be the hardest part on the count of I am totally making
them through my magical powers of graphic design. Unfortunately I
am a perfectionist in this field so I will come up with probably ten
different ideas, scrap them all over and over again until I come out
with a product that is perfect. Sometimes this is my downfall,
but in this case, VERY original!
